How to delete your Ever Journal account
Ever Journal: AI Biographer is published by Code Your Reality. You can delete your account and everything in it yourself, at any time:
- In the app (iPhone, iPad or Android): open Me, scroll to Privacy & data, tap Delete my account, type DELETE and confirm.
- On the web: sign in at ever-journal.com, open Me, choose Delete my account, type DELETE and confirm.
- Can't sign in any more? Email [email protected] from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete your account. We'll confirm and delete it within 30 days.
Cancel Eve+ first
If you subscribe to Eve+ through the App Store or Google Play, cancel the subscription there first: deleting your account doesn't stop the store from charging you, so the app asks you to cancel before it deletes anything.
What is deleted
Deleting your account removes, straight away:
- Your sign-in and profile (name, birth date, birthplace and the other things you told Eve during sign-up)
- Everything you wrote: answers to Eve, journal entries, including those hidden from Eve
- Your book: every chapter, Eve’s questions and the history of changes
- Your profile photo, photos, voice recordings and any book or data exports
- Your subscription record with RevenueCat
What is kept
A deleted account can't be restored. If you'd like a copy of your book or data, download it before you delete your account.
- Purchase records that Apple, Google or Stripe keep under their own terms and for tax law. We can't delete those.
- Anonymous usage statistics and crash reports, which are not linked to your account, stay for the retention periods of Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics.
- Copies of your deleted photos, recordings and exports in Google Cloud's recovery storage, for up to 7 days. Then they're erased.
